Since 2006 FTE has been a must-visit event for the travel industry, and this year was no exception. Between 23 - 25 May some of the industry’s biggest players flocked to the “Silicon Valley of Europe” for this high energy event focusing on innovation, customer experience and business performance.

Our CCO Mitch Fordham delivered an insightful innovation pitch, eSIM Go: More than just another ancillary. The pitch explored what eSIM means for the travel industry and how eSIM Go can help brands build loyalty by giving customers what they have been missing out on for years – seamless, easy connectivity at a fair price.

eSIM presents a unique opportunity to travel providers, who now have unprecedented access to a captive market. 1.6bn travellers are expected to be boarding with eSIM enabled devices by 2025, in a market that’s estimated to reach €52bn. Between 40 and 60% of the average airline’s customer base is already using eSIM, with up to 100% by 2026.

Mitch made a compelling case for why SIM Go is the go-to choice for brands looking to take full advantage of all the opportunities eSIM presents.

By partnering with our team of experts, airlines can increase customer loyalty and become their champions by solving their connectivity problems and protecting them from being exploited by network providers. Mitch also outlined how eSIM Go’s offering helps brands gain valuable insights and increase ancillary revenue by selling additional services and steering the digital customer journey through multiple touch points.
